Our guesthouse is located in Ujmisht, in the Luma district. It is 22 km from the city of Kukes, on the connection between Kukes and Dibër. The guesthouse is located at an altitude of about 700 m above sea level and from there it has a gorgeous view of the Lura, the mountains surrounding Gjalica and the highest peak of Albania, Korab mountain. Ujmisht is known in the history of Luma for the local tradition, for its bravery in the battles for freedom and many renown nationalist are from this region, Muharrem Bajraktari being one of them. The guesthouse was built in the first half of the last century by Idriz Jemini, the son of Jemin Sul Gjana, known as one of Luma's leading leaders in anti-Ottoman and anti-war battles of area. The Gjana family arrived in Ujmisht about 280-300 years ago from Shkodra. Luma in its entirety is one of the least explored areas and worthy of its history and tradition, as well as its natural connections and proximity to Kosovo, with which the livelihoods, traditions, the market and the wars have coexisted throughout the centuries. Hospitality is at the core of the community in the region and due to lack of development one has the opportunity to enjoy the real rural life and dig in the tradition and history of the place.
